Personal Training School

Are you looking for a personal trainer school that will help you secure a job in the personal training field? You already know you want to be a personal trainer and maybe even own your own business someday, but you’re still not sure about what the next step should be? The National Personal Training Institute of Colorado offers one the most comprehensive and complete programs available for personal trainer education. NPTI CO will give you the knowledge to gain your certification, provide the hands-on experience necessary to be a successful personal trainer, help you with job placement after you graduate, and much, much more.

NPTI is not just another vocational school that offers personal training among a laundry list of classes ranging from x-ray assistant to massage therapist. Personal trainer education is not a course that they additionally provide; it's the ONLY curriculum they do provide. They are dedicated to providing the best possible education and experience for you to get the job you have been dreaming of.

The wide-ranging 500-hour / 6-month program is unparalleled and sets itself far above the pack of competitors. They meet and exceed all minimal standards by the State of Colorado and are the only NSCA - CPT test host site that is not a four-year college. The school is endorsed by the Colorado Governor's Council for Physical Fitness and has affiliations with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), the National Association of Sports Nutrition (NASN), Fitness Resources for continuing education, most hiring employers (they make available 12 pages of job opportunities), Personal Fitness Professional (PFP) magazine, PTontheNet.com, and more …

Their curriculum has you covered and includes opportunities to prepare for, and complete any of the Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) exams offered by NASM, NSCA, ACSM, or ACE. Each certification has something distinctive to offer and NPTI even hosts many of the exams. To continue moving forward, additional certifications can also be obtained through the elective programs in Tactical Strength and Conditioning (TSAC) being offered by NSCA, Group X training, kettlebell training by International Kettlebell Fitness Federation (IKFF), Training Older Adults from (ACE), indoor cycling, and KickFit. The more knowledge and skills that you have to offer a client, the more valuable you are as a personal trainer.

This personal trainer school will also give you the important hands-on experience that you will need in the personal training field. You will not get this valuable experience from on-line certifications or inferior personal training programs. The more well prepared you are, the more likely you are to impress your future employer.

For example, let’s pretend you are interviewing for your first job as a personal trainer position at 24 Hour Fitness. There are two other candidates that apply for the same job. Candidate “1” is a person who paid $199 and sat for a "weekend" 16-hour course taught by a part-time teacher (moonlighting as an educator), and candidate “2” is a person who studied in their basement apartment, plowed through an on-line, open book test (with help from Uncle Bob) and had no hands-on training. Your competition proudly displays their respective "certificates."

You, however show your potential new employer your NPTI portfolio complete with a resume, brochure, and a detailed explanation of the 500 hours of intensive education you had in exercise science, diet, nutrition, program design, personal training policy & procedure, anatomy, physiology, functional training, strength training, kinesiology, and more. You are not finished yet, and show your NPTI Colorado Diploma (endorsed by Colorado Governor's Council for Physical Fitness), your NSCA - Certified Personal Trainer certification, your CPR / AED certification, and your NASN Sports Nutritionist certification as well. You also explain how you already have a subscription to PTontheNet, you've completed their "Personal Training Steps to Success" series and you're already planning to attend NPTI's "Group Instructor" CEU course as your next step to rounding out your education. Finally, you add that you regularly use eFitnessTracker for client assessments, have three boot camp business ideas, and own a complete personal trainer starter kit with a blood pressure cuff, stethoscope, goniometer, stop watch, and heart rate monitor.

Your competition says, "what's a goniometer?” You gladly accept the job that you've just been offered and prepare to begin training three new clients on Monday and it's suddenly crystal clear WHY you picked NPTI Colorado as the personal trainer school to begin your personal training career!
